Where melting crayons and burning battleships come together
A journey from autism to spiritual and psychological enlightenment:
Challenging Frank to unbridle his creativity, his writing instructor tells him, "To be a great lover you have to shed your armor. To be a great writer you have to shed your skin." Frank grapples with the meaning of the words, unable to let them go. He wishes he could be both, but his autistic childhood, visual impairment, dismissive parents, and narcissistic brother prevent him from being either.
Then on vacation in Hawaii, he has what seems a paranormal experience on the Arizona Memorial that starts him down a path of psychological and spiritual self-discovery. In making the transition from weird to respected, awkward to insightful, brainy to wise, his relationships with women evolve from fearful to intimate, and through them doors open to unexpected writing opportunities. His journey teaches him the wisdom in the teacher’s words, and by lifting himself from the purgatory to which his past had banished him, he inadvertently helps free others from their own shadowed depths, making his story the Memoir of an Unlikely Savior.

Six quirky journeys with a gallimaufry of gods:
Frank is faced with an imploding relationship and a broader loss of purpose, challenges made greater by his history of autism, visual impairment, and corrosive family ties. While trying to cope, he's sent by a dubious but genial host on six deity-graced journeys to enigmatic lands. Each land is different and each challenges him to change it for the better. Echoing Gulliver’s Travels and Steppenwolf, the story of each journey is also an allegory for one of six imponderable concerns, none of which has a clear resolution:
- Truth and What Is
- Human Nature and Free Will
- Suffering and Death
- Morality and Justice
- Faith and the Nature of God
- Meaning and Purpose in Life
Through the journeys Frank finds unexpected truths that shape all of life, lessons he learns Cavorting with Gods.

The Path
Is Frank a Savior following in the footsteps of Jesus
or an ordinary guy caught in a net of coincidences and odd events?

Is Frank a savior following in the footsteps of Jesus
or an ordinary guy caught in a web of coincidences and odd events?
Can the events of Frank’s life be explained by unusual natural occurrences or is the explanation supernatural? Is Frank’s experience the trick of a paranormal mischief-maker or did God decide the world needed a booster shot and send Frank to provide it? With no way to resolve what’s behind what they see happening, how do the people closest to Frank cope with the ambiguity?
Borrowing elements of structure and style from Biblical narrative, four “books” written by Frank’s closest friends tell the story of Frank’s decisive days. Each friend knows a different corner of Frank’s life, each has a different perspective on Frank’s holiness, and each gives a different emotional focus to the story they tell. Together they provide a picture of the path Frank’s life follows to resolution, and what Frank invasions as The Path to deliverance.
